The Canadiens have generally been more consistent on both ends of the ice, while San Jose has been a little more up and down. Montreal tends to generate a lot of scoring chances with their depth and speed, which could be a problem for a Sharks defense that has allowed a fair number of goals this year. San Jose still has some offensive pieces that can create chances and they usually manage to get on the scoreboard even in tougher matchups. This feels like one where Montreal controls most of the pace but the Sharks still make things interesting for stretches, but Montreal grabs the tight win at home.
